My dear friend Chelsea. The picture of the "Cider and Spice Doughnut Holes" you have posted at figs and twigs looks divine. I have reposted it here so that I can pretend it is mine every time I look at my blog. No seriously, this looks awesome. I have been sick all week and can't taste anything but I can totally taste this in my mind. Check the link to see a recipe too.
Remember everybody, you have til midnight on Friday to send us a link to a picture/post or to email a pic for the apple challenge. Make anything with apples. That is the only rule. I'll be waiting. I also hope I am well enough to make something. How sad would it be to hold a challenge and then not show up? I will do my best. Figs and Twigs does eggplant and tempeh
I am so excited!!!! Figs and Twigs just posted its eggplant entry, and the result is a fantastic-sounding Eggplant and Tempeh in a Chili Garlic Sauce. The sound of this dish reminds me of some excellent food that I had once at an exquisite little asian fusion restaurant in Pittsburgh. Check out the blog for another picture and the recipe!

Yummy recipes up at our friends' blogs
I know you are perfectly capable of checking out the blog links on this page and clicking on them. But I get enthusiastic and want to share things that stick out for me. Like the gorgeous photos up by our friend Chelsea at figs and twigs right now, along with the recipe for grill-roasted late summer vegetables with fresh oregano.
I also could not help but notice the squash and zucchini fritters over at Dianne's Dishes. The cute little guy below is a fritter just before he gets thrown into some hot oil. 
I really need to eat. These pictures are making me hungry.
